The laboratory at the pathology department of medical school at Chulalongkorn University uses many chemicals in its studies. Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) formed emitted an offensive odor and affected human health.
Solution
Ceiling Type NCCO Air Treatment Unit (Model No.: RH-490C) was installed in the laboratory. The smell of formalin and xylene disappeared the day after the installation. Clients also stated that no mold was found in the waste bottles at the storage room after operating the NCCO Air Treatment Unit.
Other institutes like the Thai Institute of Forensic Medicine, BuddhaSothorn Hospital, and Maharaj Nakhon Si Thammarat Hospital also installed RH-490C Ceiling Type NCCO Air Treatment Unit. These clients also commented that our unit could effectively remove odor and improved indoor air quality.
