The Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University

The endoscopy center of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University disinfects endoscopes in their daily medical diagnosis work. The cleaning agents produce a large amount of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that will be spread everywhere and cause pollution.

Solution

It was discovered that the primary source of pollution in the endoscope disinfection room came from the gastroscope washing machine and washing table. RHT recommended that the hospital install the Duct Mount Type NCCO Air Treatment Unit (Model No.: RH-220) and the Ceiling Type NCCO Air Treatment Unit (Model No.: RH-490C). After installation, the removal rate of indoor total volatile organic compound (TVOC) was up to 82%, with an average of 73%.
